Zusammenfassung

HVSS - High Voltage Systems & Services Ltd in the UK is seeking a Design Engineer to produce electrical designs and technical drawings, ensuring compliance with ENA, DNO and IDNO guidelines and maintaining gross margin in line with tender estimates.

You will work to health, safety, quality and environment policies, collaborate with project teams and clients, and help deliver high-value, buildable designs for a range of HV/NV installations across multiple networks.

Qualifikationen

• HND or degree in an electrical discipline
• Experience of 11kV & LV design to a high level of quality and customer satisfaction
• Knowledge of applying design process across multiple DNO regions
• Ability to effectively communicate design requirements to clients, Project Managers and site teams

Aufgaben

• Produce compliant designs in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards
• Understand and apply ENA, DNO & IDNO G81 design standards and engineering recommendations
• Process job specific cost estimates for variations and contract changes
• Authorise project spends within your DOAG limits
• Promote value engineering and better ways or working within the team
• Work within guidance of the company policies and BMS, and identify areas for review
• Ensure own design work is carried out in line with NERS accreditations
• Ensure own design drawings passed to the Construction arm of the business are buildable and in line with project financials
• Escalate problems in a timely manner to minimise business exposure
