Elite Hire is recruiting a highly skilled HV Design Engineer in the United Kingdom. You will design HV systems from 11kV to 132kV, specify equipment, and ensure compliance with UK regulations and network standards.

You will carry out load flow and fault level studies, engage with DNOs and National Grid on connection requirements, and support on-site installation, testing and energisation. A degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years' HV experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years in HV design, delivery or commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of protection, switchgear and network design.
• Full UK driving licence.

What you need

• Degree in Electrical or Electrical Power Engineering, or equivalent
• 3+ years in HV design, delivery or commissioning
• Strong knowledge of protection, switchgear and network design
• Experience with grid connections, substations or utility-scale renewables
• Full UK driving licence

Nice to have

• HV Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
• Experience with ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or IPSA
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the IET, or working towards it
