Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Plymouth, with commutable options from Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash, Yelverton

Salary: Up to £59,280 per annum, depending on experience + Bonus + Early Finish on Friday + Pension + Extra Benefits

About the Role

Excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in electrical control systems design to join a market-leading, international manufacturing company. The company is well-established and highly regarded in the Plymouth area, with sites worldwide known for quality products and being a progressive employer. Due to growth, they are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join the design team.

In this role, you will work closely with the maintenance team and will be responsible for designing and drawing electrical circuits and control panels, safety circuits, motion control, PLC & HMI programming, and system integration into manufacturing robots and standalone machines.

The Person

• Electrical Engineering qualifications
• PLC & HMI programming knowledge
• Strong communication skills, able to work within multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Eplan design software

Working Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with a 3:30 pm finish on Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Design control panels, identify obsolete components, source alternatives, and implement modifications for upgrades
