Electrical Design Engineer

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a well known Tier 1 contractor working on a large water infrastructure programme in the Scotland Region. This is a remote role where you will need to travel to Scotland one a month.

The company is a well know Tier 1 contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Electrical Design Engineer you will joining an award winning business who will be part of the Water and Wastewater capital project delivery team.

Key responsibilities for this Electrical Design Engineer role:
- Managing the Electrical Engineering aspects of clean and wastewater projects within the capital delivery works programme.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team on projects focusing primarily on water & wastewater M&E capital maintenance and growth projects
- Assist Project Manager with knowledge to complete design and project engineering deliverables within the Pre-Construction phase.
- Attend and contribute to internal and external design review and progress meetings
- Participate in design coordination with other engineering disciplines and professionals
- Engineering outputs including Cable Calculations and Cable Schedules
- Produce electrical schematic diagrams and documentation
- Engineering drawings (electrical drawings, containment and cablings routes, system layout drawings.
- Review of specifications and designs against industry standards and specifications
- Produce Engineering reports, Feasibility studies, Risk Assessments and Method Statements

Experience required for this Electrical Design Engineer role:
- Electrical Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in engineering or related discipline
- Experience working on Clean/Wastewater or Utility Projects
- Clean Driving Licence
- Chartered or Incorporated (CEng/IEng) or working towards
- You will be confident and able to provide mentoring, guidance and technical advice to assist junior staff is their development
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Be able to work to deadlines

Package offered for this Electrical Design Engineer role:

- Basic Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience
