We have a long-term contract opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to work for one of the UK's leading Engineering consultants. Fully remote but with occasional visits to offices in London, Newcastle or Manchester for meetings. Inside IR35.

Role Overview

Our client, a renowned international consultancy, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role involves leading innovative solutions to complex problems, delivering projects at various stages, and collaborating with team members and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leading and developing cost-effective, efficient, and innovative electrical solutions.
2. Delivering projects from Feasibility Studies to Detailed Design.
3. Preparing electrical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, cable calculations, plant layouts, and cable routing.
4. Collaborating with vendors on equipment package designs and evaluations.
5. Assessing electrical assets for capability, risk, and intervention needs.
6. Developing proposals and bids for the EC&I discipline.

Job Requirements:

1. Degree in a relevant Engineering field with substantial electrical design, operation, maintenance, and testing experience.
2. Chartered Engineer membership in a relevant Institute.
3. Leadership ability in developing electrical deliverables and asset assessment.
4. Knowledge of power and energy project design, construction, and operation.
5. Experience with medium and high voltage equipment and systems.
