Job summary

Progressive Global Energy in Clevedon is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our advanced engineering team. You will design, develop and maintain electrical systems and sub-assemblies for complex electro-mechanical products in a highly regulated environment, contributing across the full product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing electrical systems, schematics and control circuits.
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or similar Electrical CAD packages.
• Understanding of electrical design principles and engineering documentation.
• Experience creating Bills of Materials and supporting technical documentation.
• Basic fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Knowledge of product development, Design for Manufacture or Design for Assembly would be advantageous.
• Exposure to PLCs would be beneficial.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer looking to further develop their career within a highly regulated engineering environment, working on complex electrical and electro-mechanical products. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of electrical systems and sub-assemblies, supporting both product customisation and engineering change activities across a diverse product range. The Electrical Design Engineer Role As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the design and development of electrical systems, modules and product improvements while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
