Business Development Manager at Sarum Electronics

Sarum Electronics are recruiting for an additional electrical design engineer to join our busy office in Dorset on a permanent basis. Ideal candidates will have plenty of HVAC knowledge or come from an M&E background. More importantly, solid electrical design experience is essential.

You will be designing control panels for a wide range of HVAC installations and Building Energy Management Systems. Using your electrical design skills you will generate circuit diagrams and mechanical layouts using CAD software.

You will also be able to contribute through:

• Programming PLC devices (training provided).
• Provide technical support via telephone.
• Qualify customer technical requirements.
• Assist with electrical testing of control panels to check electrical safety and design integrity.
• Carry out functional tests of PLC programmes.

We have an interesting variety of work across a wide range of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning equipment including Air Handling Units, Ventilation & Smoke Extract, Electric Heater Batteries, Gas Burners & Boilers, Pumps, Air Conditioning, Energy Monitoring, Gas Detection,

Essential skills:

• Experience in control panel design, or at least a year in electrical design.
• Excellent communication skills as you will be customer facing from time to time.

Preferred skills:

• Understanding of HVAC applications and equipment.
• PLC programming experience.

£30k to £40k depending on experience
