Job summary

Konecranes is seeking an electrically-qualified Crane Service Engineer to join our team based in the Lancashire area, ideally Preston/Blackburn/Blackpool. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes, troubleshoot breakdowns, and consult with customers on repair and safety issues.

The role reports to the Operations Manager. A company van, paid travel time, generous overtime, and 33 days leave are provided as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or equivalent with electrical engineering disciplines.
• Mechanical knowledge required.
• Experience with overhead cranes/hoists preferred; essential to service equipment in industrial settings.
• Based on 39 hours per week, Mon-Fri; weekend OT paid at double time.
• Must be personable due to regular customer contact.
• Health & safety awareness is essential.
• Must be able to work at height.
• Willingness to work extra hours with paid overtime.
• Hold a valid driving licence and be willing to join on-call rota with enhanced premium.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues.
• Complete documentation via mobile device.
