Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Multi-Skilled Craftsperson (Electrical Bias) to join our Estates team in Burton-on-Trent. You will provide electrical maintenance and repairs across the NHS estate, including wards, theatres and facilities, with on-call duties and a requirement to operate a vehicle.

The role requires a time-served electrical craftsman with an apprenticeship or equivalent Level 2 qualification, and experience in fault finding and statutory

Qualifications

• Fully time served Electrical craftsperson with recognised Apprenticeship or Level 2 in electrical discipline.
• Experience in installation and maintenance on a large, complex healthcare estate.
• Knowledge of fire alarm, CCTV, swipe access, emergency lighting, backup power, CHP, HV procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs and servicing on NHS estate.
• Perform statutory inspections and maintain records to meet legislation.
• Attend on-call shifts and respond within required timeframes with own vehicle and valid licence.
