Job summary

Sodexo at Royal Stoke Hospital is seeking an Electrical Craftsperson to keep the hospital estate running smoothly. You will interpret electrical drawings, perform maintenance, and deliver planned preventative works across plant and building services.

Working at a 40-hour week, you’ll join a skilled team, respond to faults, and help ensure safety, compliance with HTM standards, and reliable service delivery for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrician with 18th Edition (BS7671) and 2391 desirable.
• Recognised electrical apprenticeship with C&G, BTEC or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical schematics and panel drawings to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Operate, maintain, and repair plant and equipment across a hospital site.
• Diagnose faults including complex issues and carry out reactive and corrective works.
• Ensure compliance with HTM standards, regulations and contractual requirements.
• Support engineering management with response times and documentation.
