Job summary

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Mechanical Craftsperson to support the Estates Team. The role focuses on mechanical PPM, minor works and day-to-day reactive maintenance to ensure patient areas meet high care standards.

The post requires a C&G Level 3 mechanical/plumbing qualification, ability to fault-find, and strong organisational skills. Driving license and experience in healthcare are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must hold a mechanical/plumbing certificate to a minimum of C&G Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience within a healthcare environment.
• Experience managing workloads and prioritising tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an Estates service that is compliant with mandatory and statutory requirements.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance.
• Perform multiskilled mechanical/plumbing tasks (TMV servicing, WC repairs, lighting repairs).
• Undertake grounds, decoration and drainage tasks as required.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations including Infection Control and COSHH.
