Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited seeks an Electrical Craftsperson for NHS contracts in Suffolk. The role is 37.5 hours per week, 8:00–16:00, Monday to Friday, with on-call duties as required. Pay rate £18–£20 per hour Ltd, initial 12-month contract, based in Suffolk.

Responsibilities include fault diagnosis and rectification of electrical services, maintenance, and installation work across the Trust, plus participating in Estates projects and on-call rota. Relevant qualifications required.

Qualifications

• Recognised trade apprenticeship in electrical discipline.
• City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering and/or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation + AM2 (or equivalent).
• Current IEE Wiring Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults on electrical services and perform fault rectification, maintenance and installations across the Trust.
• Undertake departmental projects as identified by Estates Manager, Estates Officers and Team Leaders.
• Act as Competent Person (CP) for specific engineering disciplines as required by Estates Managers.
• Participate in on-call rota to attend emergency repairs outside normal hours.

Morgan Hunt currently requires an Electrical Craftsperson for NHS based in Suffolk

Pay Rate: £18ph to 20ph Ltd

Hours: 37.5 hrs 8am to 4pm - Mon to Fri - Plus out of hours on call duties

Location: Suffolk

Duration 12 months on going contract.

Main purpose of the job

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• To undertake fault diagnosis on electrical services and fault rectification, maintenance, and electrical installation work across the Trust.
• To undertake departmental projects as identified by the Estates Manager, Estates Officers and or Team Leaders.
• To undertake the duties of a Competent Person (CP) for specific engineering disciplines as required to do so by the Estates Managers.
• Undertake on-call duties as part of the on-call team to ensure that emergency repairs occurring out of normal hours are attended to, including basic requirements of other trades.

Education & Qualifications

• Recognised Trade Apprenticeship in Electrical discipline.
• A minimum qualification of City and Guilds in Electrical Engineering and/or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation + AM2 (or equivalent)
• Current IEE Wiring Regulations

Experience

• Completion of a structured training programme in Electrical Engineering
• To demonstrate relevant experience in an electrical & mechanical maintenance environment
• To be able to participate on the Estates Emergency On-Call rota if required to do so and therefore must be able to work outside normal working hours including weekends,evenings and nights when on call.
