Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions in Rushden is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join its team. You will provide technical support to customers and field engineers, reading wiring diagrams and diagnosing faults in electrical and controls systems.

Based at the head office, you will guide engineers, identify parts and documentation to reduce downtime while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, or controls.
• Confident reading wiring diagrams, schematics and drawings.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with component identification.
• Good communication to explain technical issues clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and field engineers by phone.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and schematics to locate faults.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and controls-related issues on equipment.
• Identify components, parts, tooling and equipment needed for repairs.
• Guide field engineers through fault-finding procedures and repairs.
• Record and progress technical jobs in internal systems.
• Collaborate with customer service and engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Help minimise downtime and improve customer experience.
