Job summary

Recruit Engineering is partnering with a leading engineering business to recruit an Electrical Controls Design Engineer to design electrical control systems and industrial panels for complex automation projects in South Elmsall, West Yorkshire.

You will produce schematics and panel layouts, develop BOMs, perform load calculations and verification, and support manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Design electrical control systems and industrial control panels (≤140 chars)
• Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts and technical documentation
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support component selection
• Perform electrical load calculations and design verification
• Support manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities
• Drive continuous improvement and value-engineering initiatives
• Work closely with project, manufacturing and installation teams

Skills & Experience

• Electrical Controls Design experience
• Industrial Control Panel Design
• EPLAN P8 experience preferred
• Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs and automation systems
• Electrical CAD experience
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles

Desirable

• EPLAN Pro Panel
• Siemens or Beckhoff systems
• UL508A knowledge
• Functional Safety (ISO13849 / IEC62061)
