Qualifications

• 8+ years industrial control panel/system design experience.
• 1+ year PLC & HMI programming.
• Strong electrical/control systems background.
• Able to design safety circuits and set up servo motors, drives & VFDs.

Responsibilities

• Electrical schematics using CAD (AutoCAD Electrical, E-Plan, SEE, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Designing control systems: mains protection, 24VDC circuits, PLCs, I/O, sensors, motors, drives, safety circuits.
• Interpreting URS documents and asking the right technical questions.
• Specifying/configuring motors & drives (Induction, VFD, Servo).
• Writing/testing basic PLC & HMI programmes.
• Designing safety circuits.
• Creating BOMs, FDS, technical specs and construction files.
• Updating installation/operation manuals.
• Component research & supplier liaison.
• Testing, commissioning, troubleshooting & customer support.
• Occasional UK site visits.

Control Systems Design Engineer Role
You'll take ownership of electrical control panel and automation system design, producing high-quality documentation and supporting internal teams and customers.

Control Systems Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical schematics using CAD (AutoCAD Electrical, E-Plan, SEE, SolidWorks Electrical)
• Designing control systems: mains protection, 24VDC circuits, PLCs, I/O, sensors, motors, drives, safety circuits

Control Systems Design Engineer Essential Requirements:

• Strong electrical/control systems background
• Electrical/Controls qualification (Apprenticeship, BTEC, ONC, HNC, HND, Degree)
• 8+ years industrial control panel/system design experience
• 1+ year PLC & HMI programming
• Highly proficient in electrical CAD software
• Able to design safety circuits and set up servo motors, drives & VFDs
• Good mechanical/electrical/pneumatic understanding
• Excellent accuracy, detail orientation and professionalism
