Job type: Permanent and Contract (Inside IR35)

Our client, an engineering company, is seeking an EC&I Designer for a permanent and contract position in Warrington. This role is within the Oil & Gas, Construction, or highly regulated industries.

Role

As an EC&I – Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Designer, you will support Lead and Senior Engineers, responsible for producing EC&I designs within single or multi-discipline engineering projects, EPCM or EPC, for the Gas Transmission Major Project Programme.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the quality of the EC&I design, working on projects related to the UK gas transmission sector, mainly for compressor station infrastructure. Projects will range from Concept Design to Execution Design, supporting the delivery within budget and schedule. Participation in design reviews and managing scope changes are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in EC&I design within single or multi-discipline engineering, EPCM, or EPC projects.
• Oil & Gas industry or related experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
