Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Facilities Engineer to oversee HV/LV switching, distribution maintenance, and BMS/SCADA system operation. You will coordinate with 3rd parties for high voltage work while ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing.

Responsibilities include energy reporting, data analysis, and training on site for technicians and engineers. The role requires strong electrical/control skills and experience in facilities/building services environments.

Qualifications

• Understanding of plant operation including VFDs, motors, boilers, HVAC, pumps and vacuum systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings including P&IDs and flow diagrams.
• Experience with pneumatic systems and control/instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Facilities Operations Manager and manage HV/LV switching plans with third parties as required.
• Own, operate and maintain HV and LV main distribution including protection, PFC and SPDs.
• Operate and commission site BMS/SCADA systems and maintain energy reporting.
• Provide on-site training for shift personnel and other engineers.
• Administer and update CMMS to schedule and record maintenance activities.
• Produce weekly energy reports and data analysis for energy, effluent and operations.
