Chemring Energetics UK is seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrician to manage the maintenance, inspection, and operation of the site's HV and LV distribution systems in a high-hazard manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on safe, compliant electrical infrastructure, emergency response, and collaboration with project teams, with on-site training of apprentices and ongoing system improvements.

Formación

• Recognised apprenticeship or trade school completion equivalent to High Voltage Electrician level.
• Certificate in high voltage system operations.
• Experience with LV cable jointing.
• Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and safety regs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and troubleshoot HV and LV distribution systems, including transformers and switchgear.
• Fabricate/install duct banks, cable runs, transformer banks, and LV panels.
• Inspect systems, conduct tests, document findings, and report outcomes.
• Respond to emergencies and support commissioning/testing of projects.
• Provide on-the-job training to apprentices and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Operate testing/repair equipment such as voltmeters, insulation testers, and circuit breakers.
• Maintain tools and records of work performed.
