Job summary

Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is seeking an ECCS Specialist Inspector to secure public safety across major hazard industries. You will address Electrical, Control and Cyber Security within onshore installations such as refineries, storage sites, and chemical plants.

The role involves inspecting GB-wide sites, providing expert inspection reports, and potentially acting as an expert witness. UK travel and development into cyber security are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Technical Engineering role.
• Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels.
• Experience producing detailed technical reports for diverse audiences.
• Strategic thinking with ability to persuade and influence.
• Breadth of experience in Major Hazards / High Consequence environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect major hazard installations to ensure risk is managed and lawful compliance.
• Assess Safety Reports for new and existing sites.
• Investigate safety incidents involving industrial control systems.
• Produce technical inspection reports identifying risk gaps.
• Provide expert opinion in tribunals or inquiries when required.
