Job summary

Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick (BBK) is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Planner to support the delivery of electrical construction activities at Hinkley Point C. The role sits within a high-performing Project Controls team focused on planning, monitoring and driving progress on a major nuclear new-build project.

You will develop and maintain detailed schedules, align them with broader milestones and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure activity readiness and accurate progress

Qualifications

  • HNC in an Engineering discipline.
  • Planning experience within construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction planning and project controls.
  • Experience producing and maintaining detailed construction schedules.
  • Ability to analyse project performance and track progress against milestones.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams in a complex delivery environment.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS Security Clearance.

  • Develop and maintain detailed Electrical Level 5 construction schedules.
  • Prepare and update electrical four-week lookahead plans.
  • Align schedules with the overall 16-week lookahead and key programme milestones.
  • Establish activity-level progress and quantity measurement requirements.
  • Integrate engineering, material availability, access requirements, resources, quality and commissioning activities into project schedules.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to confirm activity readiness and identify constraints.
  • Monitor progress and track installed quantities against planned outputs.
  • Produce accurate, evidence-based schedule updates and productivity reports to support project performance and decision-making

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Planner to support the successful delivery of electrical construction activities at Hinkley Point C. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing Project Controls team and play a key role in planning, monitoring and driving progress across a major nuclear new-build project.
