Job summary

London-based engineering contractor seeks an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead delivery of electrical packages on major commercial fit-out projects. You will oversee site teams and coordinate LV distribution, lighting, containment and life safety systems, ensuring on-time handover and compliance.

Ideal candidates have strong electrical background, progression to site/ construction management, and relevant certifications such as 18th Edition, SMSTS, ECS/CSCS.

Qualifications

• Must have strong electrical trade background and progression into site/construction management.
• Proven experience delivering electrical packages on major Tier 1 projects.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical installations, testing and commissioning.
• AP (LV) experience or authorisation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of electrical packages valued £5m-£10m.
• Manage electrical site teams, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate electrical installations including LV distribution, lighting, small power, containment and life safety systems.
• Manage site programmes, labour resources, quality and installation progress.
• Oversee electrical testing, inspections, commissioning and handover.
• Liaise with Tier 1 main contractors, consultants and other trades to resolve issues.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to required standard.

Electrical Construction Manager - Commercial Fit-Out

Location: London

Salary: £60,000-£75,000 + Travel Paid

I'm working with an established electrical contractor looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Construction Manager as they continue to strengthen their delivery team across London.

The business delivers substantial electrical packages for Tier 1 main contractors, typically valued between £5m-£10m, across major commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects. They're looking for someone from a strong electrical background who is technically confident, hands-on and capable of driving site delivery through to testing, commissioning and handover.

The Role:

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of electrical packages valued between £5m-£10m.


• Manage electrical site teams, supervisors and specialist subcontractors.


• Coordinate electrical installations, including LV distribution, lighting, small power, containment and life safety systems.


• Manage site programmes, labour resources, quality and installation progress.


• Oversee electrical testing, inspections, commissioning and handover.


• Liaise with Tier 1 main contractors, consultants and other trades to resolve technical and programme issues.


• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong electrical trade background, ideally having progressed into site or construction management.


• Proven experience delivering electrical packages on major Tier 1 commercial projects.


• Excellent technical knowledge of electrical installations, testing and commissioning.


• AP (LV) experience or authorisation highly advantageous.
