Job summary

Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team delivering major electrical construction projects across the UK. You will produce risk assessments, select construction methods and carry out constructability studies to support safe, efficient installations.

We value accredited professionals with an engineering degree, relevant qualifications, and a commitment to safe systems of work.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent training.
• Professional accreditation is highly advantageous.
• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent knowledge.
• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH.
• Experience and knowledge of Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
• Must be able to pass BPSS security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Producing risk assessments and method statements to support packages of works.
• Produce processes to provide clear concise instruction on how items of equipment may be installed, and the required checks and balances.
• Select appropriate construction methods and strategies.
• Carrying out constructability studies including CDM assessments.
• Specification of site requirements including temporary works and buildings.
