Job summary

Pertemps Tm in Cambridge is seeking an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical building services design from concept to completion, ensuring quality, schedule adherence and client satisfaction.

You will mentor engineers, manage client relationships and contribute to growing the Building Services team across a portfolio spanning offices, education, healthcare, residential and life sciences. Hybrid working and a competitive package are on offer.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical/building services engineering or related field.
• Significant consultancy experience delivering electrical building services designs.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations and British Standards.
• Chartered Engineer status or clear path toward Chartership.
• Experience mentoring and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on complex building services projects.
• Act as main client contact and develop long-term relationships.
• Attend and lead design meetings, workshops and project reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and QA across project teams.
• Manage resources, project delivery and financial performance.
• Support fee proposals, bids and business development.
• Work with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Mentor graduates, intermediates and seniors.
• Support chartership development and growth within the team.
• Assist recruitment and expansion of the Cambridge office.
