Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status, or active progress towards chartership.

• A thorough understanding of relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and industry guidance.
• Proven experience leading project teams, managing stakeholders and developing long-term client relationships.
• Strong communication, leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to developing engineers at all levels.
• Commercial awareness and experience of project financial management, fee proposals and resource planning.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, balancing technical excellence, client expectations and project profitability.

Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious electrical engineering professional to take a leading role in delivering building services design across a diverse portfolio of education, commercial, residential, healthcare and public sector projects.

This is a senior, client-facing position offering the opportunity to combine technical expertise with project leadership, business development and team management. About You

We are looking for a confident and commercially aware electrical engineering professional with a strong technical background and proven experience within a building services consultancy environment.

You will bring:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status, or active progress towards chartership, through a recognised professional institution such as CIBSE or the IET.
• Significant experience in the design and delivery of electrical building services projects.
• A thorough understanding of relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and industry guidance.
• Proven experience leading project teams, managing stakeholders and developing long-term client relationships.
• Strong communication, leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to developing engineers at all levels.
• Commercial awareness and experience of project financial management, fee proposals and resource planning.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, with the ability to balance technical excellence, client expectations and project profitability.

You'll ideally have experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment, with a good understanding of electrical design principles and relevant industry standards.
