Job summary

WSP is seeking a Technical Director - Electrical (Building Services) in the Guildford area to lead ME P projects with a strong aviation background. You will oversee detailed design to meet client needs, supervise teams, and drive high-quality delivery across multiple UK sites.

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Director, you will manage junior to principal engineers, coordinate with BIM and sustainability specialists, and ensure resources align with project workloads.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC)
• Have experience working on MEP Building services projects with aviation background
• Chartership or professional registration as an engineer is desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise detailed designs and production of performance specifications.
• Direct the discipline scope within MEP projects and ensure client deliverables meet KPIs.
• Oversee feasibility studies and ensure resources are allocated across projects.
• Act as the client’s main contact and coordinate multi-site teams across the UK.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project communication, risk, and quality.
