Electrical Bias Multi-Skilled Engineer – On-Call M&E

Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join our FM segment, based out of East Midlands Airport. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an on-call rotation to support out-of-hours client coverage.

You will work with a team of on-site engineers, performing checks, servicing, maintenance and timely record-keeping to SFG20 and safety standards. A recognised trade qualification, 18th Edition and full UK driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and a recognised qualification in an associated trade (Electrician, Plumbing etc).
• 18th Edition.
• Mobile Engineer Experience within M&E Services preferably Electrical Biased.
• Rota basis call out experience.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
• Strong customer care focus.
• Good communication skills.
• Proactive approach.
• Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Checking, cleaning, servicing, maintenance and record-keeping to standards set by the Company per SFG20 and Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
• Maximising equipment safety, reliability, availability and presentation.
• Carry out repairs within training/competence scope.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete paperwork/reports.
• Carry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and related paperwork.
• Be on call to provide full out-of-hours cover.
• Follow company policies and procedures and complete related documentation on time.
• Work safely and diligently and comply with Health & Safety policies.
• Undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.
