Job summary
Saputo on the Isle of Bute is seeking a hands-on, multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias to maintain and improve our dairy-free production lines. You will work across equipment such as block cutters, slicers, graders, weight checkers, and conveyors, performing fault diagnosis, PM reviews, and documentation in CMMS.
You will support R&D activities to scale up production of new lines and work with external partners to reduce downtime.
Qualifications
- Apprenticeship/NVQ3/HNC or equivalent required
- Experience with UK electrical standards and legislations
- 18th Edition qualification preferred (support available)
Responsibilities
- Conduct fault diagnosis and service safely in line with OEM manuals and CMMS data
- Improve asset care standards and drive site efficiency
- Utilise data to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain and archive maintenance documentation per site procedures
- Provide technical guidance for planning and execution of activities
- Manage contractor work and site safety compliance
- Collaborate with operations and quality teams on timelines and changes
