Job summary

Saputo, Inc. on the Isle of Bute is seeking a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias to support our branded and dairy-free production lines.

You will work hands-on across equipment, review and improve PPMs, and collaborate with external partners to reduce downtime. You'll provide detailed technical guidance, manage contractors, and help scale up production for new product lines while ensuring safety and compliance with UK electrical standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with UK electrical standards and 18th Edition.
• Hands-on experience with equipment in food production/manufacturing.
• Experience with automation/controls (PLC).
• Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3/HNC in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault diagnosis and maintenance safely following OEM instructions and CMMS records.
• Improve asset care standards and ensure site compliance.
• Utilise data to drive continuous improvement activities and close actions.
• Ensure maintenance documents are completed and archived per site procedures.
• Provide technical guidance for planning and completing activities.
• Manage contractors and maintain on-site controls.
• Communicate timelines and updates with operations and quality teams.
