Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join a busy site in Wales. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance across equipment, ensuring uptime and reliability while working closely with production teams.

The role requires an engineering qualification and strong fault-finding abilities. Candidates should be proactive, able to work independently, and comfortable documenting activities. A background in regulated environments is advantageous.

Job description

What You'll Do:

You'll be joining a busy engineering team responsible for keeping operations running efficiently through a mix of reactive and planned maintenance. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering real variety across site maintenance and equipment support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out reactive maintenance and general repairs across the site

What You'll Bring:

• Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role


• Electrical experience or qualifications are highly desirable


• A recognised engineering or trade qualification would be advantageous


• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability


• Confidence working independently and managing your workload


• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively


• A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn


• Any experience within food or regulated manufacturing environments would be beneficial
