Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited in Blackpool is seeking skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineers to maintain production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced, quality‑driven environment. Join a market‑leading manufacturer that values hands‑on engineering and career development.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ, ONC, HNC, or equivalent).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (food or FMCG experience advantageous, but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns across production and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and/or mechanical faults quickly and safely.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and machinery upgrades.
• Accurately record maintenance activities and compliance checks.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.

The Role

About You

• Strong fault-finding ability and a proactive, hands-on approach
• The confidence to work independently as well as part of a team
