Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is recruiting an Electrical Asset Technician to wire, install, maintain and control electrical equipment across water treatment and distribution sites in Colchester, Halstead, Sudbury, Braintree and surrounding areas.

You will calibrate analytical equipment, investigate asset trends, support HV teams and contractors, and work with drawings to troubleshoot issues. A full UK driving licence and recognised electrical qualifications are essential, with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds electrical qualification is required.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations knowledge.
• Experience inspecting, maintaining and fault-diagnosing electrical assets.

Responsibilities

• Wiring, installing, maintaining and controlling electrical equipment for water treatment and distribution.
• Calibrating and maintaining analytical equipment.

Key responsibilities:

• You’ll be responsible for wiring, installing, maintaining and controlling the high diversity of electrical equipment necessary to treat and distribute water.
• Calibrating and maintaining technical analytical equipment
• Investigate asset trends and carry out electrical interventions
• Assist electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation and automation teams
• Utilise electrical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• React to technical issues to maintain water supply

What does it take to be an Electrical Asset Technician?

• An NVQ level 3 or City and Guilds electrical qualification (or equivalent), 18th Edition, AM2 or Jib Gold Card, or equivalent or have completed a full Electrical apprenticeship
• A full UK driving licence is also essential.
• You will have demonstrable experience in completing inspections, maintenance and fault diagnosis, being competent undertaking repairs to large pumps, actuated valves, VSD and 3-phase electrical switchgear.
• Strong health & safety focus
• Ability to work standby-by and overtime as necessary
• As well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our electrical assets, you will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to enable you to operate and maintain water treatment assets and processes.
