Job description

This full-time Electrical Assembly Technician position in Runcorn offers £14 per hour, working Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 on an ongoing temporary contract. The successful candidate will test circuit boards and electromechanical products, visually inspect parts against a failure catalogue, and carry out basic fault finding on boards and other electrical components. Repair work extends to individual component level, alongside completion of relevant paperwork. Applicants should bring proven experience in electrical assembly, strong attention to detail, and confidence in diagnostic testing. The role suits someone reliable who can maintain accuracy across inspection, repair and documentation tasks within a manufacturing setting. Location:

• Runcorn, Cheshire (WA7 1QT)

Salary:

• £14.00 per hour

Hrs:

• Mon - Fri 09:00-17:00hrs

Duration:

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed tests on circuit boards
• Visual inspection of parts against a failure catalogue
• Conduct basic fault finding on circuit boards and other electrical components
• Perform detailed tests on electromechanical products
• Repair boards and complete systems down to individual component level
• Complete relevant paperwork and record data where necessary
• Adhere to all site Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Ensure that work area is clean and tidy at all times to ensure a hazard free environment is maintained
• Identify process improvements to achieve production targets

Skills:

• Electrical Qualification i.e. NVQ/HNC/HND is advantageous, however not essential
• Previous experience working with an Assembly/Manufacturing/Production environment is essential
• Previous experience in soldering through hole components and surface mounts would be ideal
• Excellent abilities to follow plans with manual dexterity
• Must be an excellent communicator and a good team player
