Job summary

Pertemps North West and North Wales is recruiting an Electrical Assembly Technician for a temp-ongoing role in Runcorn, Cheshire. The position offers a full-time schedule Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, with a pay rate of £14.00 per hour.

You will perform detailed tests on circuit boards, visually inspect components, fault-find, solder and repair boards, and record data while adhering to site safety procedures. Candidates with NVQ/HNC/HND are encouraged but not essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification (NVQ/HNC/HND) is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience in an Assembly/Manufacturing/Production environment is essential.
• Soldering experience with through-hole and surface-mount components is ideal.
• Excellent manual dexterity and ability to read plans.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed tests on circuit boards.
• Visually inspect parts against a failure catalogue.
• Conduct basic fault finding on circuit boards and other electrical components.
• Test electromechanical products in line with specifications.
• Repair boards and complete systems to component level.
• Complete paperwork and record data as required.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and maintain a tidy, hazard-free workspace.
• Identify process improvements to meet production targets.
