Job summary

Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd in Great Yarmouth is seeking an Electrical Assembly Operative for a marine manufacturing environment. The role is a temporary to permanent position, paying £12.72 per hour, with hours Mon-Thu 8:00am-4:30pm and Fri 8:00am-3:30pm.

You will assemble electrical and mechanical components, read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams, safely use hand and power tools, and maintain a clean, safe workstation.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly or production.
• Understanding of electrical assembly, wiring and electrical safety.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Confident using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical and mechanical units to required specifications.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
• Complete basic electrical wiring, cable routing, terminations and connections.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools and assembly equipment.
• Carry out visual inspections and functional checks to ensure quality.
• Identify and report defects, quality issues and potential improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
