A recruitment consultancy seeks an Electrical Assembly Operative in Sudbury, Suffolk. The role involves assembling electrical components, interpreting technical drawings, and testing finished units. Ideal candidates will demonstrate good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ideally some experience in assembly. The position offers an hourly rate of £13 – £15 depending on experience, with a contract that includes a temp to perm arrangement.

Electrical Assembly Operative

Location: Sudbury, Suffolk.

Hourly Rate: £13 – £15 DOE.

Contract: Temp – Perm.

Hours: Monday – Thursday.

An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Assembly Operative for our client, based in Sudbury, Suffolk.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical components, subassemblies, and systems following drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Carry out wiring, crimping, soldering, and cable assembly by hand or using machinery.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and bills of materials.
• Test assembled units using basic electrical test equipment.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve wiring or assembly issues as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
• Ideally, experience within a similar position.
