Qualifications

• Experience in electrical or electronic assembly or a similar hands-on role.
• Ability to follow technical drawings and assembly manuals.
• Experience using hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Good practical skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to identify and report problems.
• Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to handle components weighing up to 20kg.
• Experience in computer building or cable assembly is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble computer systems, electronic equipment and component parts.
• Fit and connect cables, wiring and electrical and mechanical components.
• Follow technical drawings, instructions and assembly manuals.
• Use hand tools and specialist assembly equipment.
• Carry out basic testing and quality checks on completed products.
• Identify and report faults or assembly issues.
• Record completed work, serial numbers and test results.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work area.
• Follow health and safety procedures and quality standards.
• Work with colleagues to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
