Job summary

Pertemps North West and North Wales in Warrington is recruiting an Electronics/Mechanical Assembler to join a UK leader in design and manufacture of bespoke components for Nuclear, Oil & Gas and Aerospace industries.

You will assemble transducers, make cable assemblies, solder components, conduct functional tests and follow electrical drawings while maintaining a neat, safe workspace. The role is Mon-Fri 08:30-16:30, with a temp-to-perm contract.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Wiring and Electronic Assembly.
• Understanding electrical drawings/schematics.
• Soldering small components with care.
• Analytical fault finding and reporting on electronic faults.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a small team.

Job Title: Electronic/Mechanical Assembler

Location: Warrington (WA1 4NF)

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (DOE)

Shifts: Monday- Friday 08:30- 16:30

Contract: Temp - Permanent

Company & Role:

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician for our client who are a highly reputable UK leader in the design and manufacturing of specialised/bespoke components for the Nuclear, Oil & Gas and Aerospace industries.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will carry out the assembly, testing and, where appropriate, the refurbishment of the Company's products.

As an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler your duties will be;

• Assemble transducers, make cable assemblies and accessories as directed.
• Solder electronic components.
• Conduct functional tests including testing components for mechanical and/or electrical faults.
• Work to electrical drawings/schematics.
• Maintain a tidy workplace environment.
• Safe use of hydraulic press.
• Follow work/build instructions, prioritising multiple orders.
• Comply with Health & Safety responsibilities.

The successful Electrical/Mechanical Assembler will have the following skills;

• Experienced in Electrical Wiring and Electronic Assembly.
• Previous experience in small electronic/mechanical type bench assembly.
• Understanding of electrical drawings/schematics
• Soldering experience of small components.
• Analytical and problem-solving electronic fault finding/ fault investigation and reporting.
• Attention to detail, dedicated, able to work within small team.
• Self-motivated and focused
