Job summary

System Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced electrical and mechanical maintenance engineer to join our client’s food processing factory in Kilkeel, BT34 4AF. You will service and repair plant machinery, refrigeration and HVAC systems, and vehicles to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and the ability to install parts and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience servicing and repairing plant machinery and vehicles including refrigeration/HVAC systems.
• Strong technical skills in electrical and mechanical systems across pumps, motors, and control panels.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
• Install and test new parts and equipment on plant lines.
• Support commissioning of machinery and develop maintenance strategies.

A leading food processing company has an immediate requirement for an experienced electrical / mechanical maintenance engineer to join them at their factory in Kilkeel, BT34 4AF

As electrical/mechanical maintenance engineer you will have extensive experience of servicing and repairing plant machinery and vehicles including refrigeration / chillers / HVAC systems.

Key Skills required:

• Strong technical skills in mechanical/electrical systems working with pumps, motors, HVAC, refrigeration units.
• Removal, fitting, and repair of pumps, motors, fans, and ancillary equipment
• Control panel and pipework knowledge is an advantage
• Refrigeration, HVAC and cooling systems.
• Repair of vehicles and
• Diagnose and repair mechanical / electrical issues on a wide range of plant and machinery
• Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
• Install and test new parts and equipment
• Support commissioning of machinery and develop maintenance strategies
