Job summary

INEOS Grangemouth is offering a graduate Electrical & Instrument Engineering opportunity based in Grangemouth. You will be embedded within a team of experienced engineers and gain hands‑on experience across SHE, production, reliability and energy use, developing technical ability, personal impact and business awareness from day one.

We seek high‑performing graduates with a 2:1 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related degree, ambition and resilience, a valid UK driving licence, and

  • A minimum of 2:1 Bachelor’s (with Honours) in an Engineering Council recognized degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related course.

About Our Opportunity

Based in Grangemouth, our graduates work in a variety of different roles designed to give a diverse set of early experiences. Each role supports different aspects of asset operation (including SHE, production, reliability, and energy use/variable cost improvements) to deliver the short through long term asset strategy. You will be embedded within a team of experienced engineers and given responsibilities from Day 1 designed to facilitate development and growth of technical ability, personal impact, and business awareness through to IET Accredited Chartership. You will immediately develop key skills and experiences required for a successful career in your discipline.

About You

We are seeking the top Electrical & Instrument Engineering graduates who have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2:1 Bachelor’s (with Honours) in an Engineering Council recognized degree in either Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related course.
  • Ambition and personal motivation
  • The ability to work under pressure, with confidence
  • A drive for action, initiative, and delivery, a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A valid UK driving license or currently working towards achieving this
  • Placement or Industry experience is advantageous

Assessment Centre

A limited number of successful applicants will be invited to our in-person assessment day containing a group exercise, followed by two interviews: one behavioral and one technical. You will then break for lunch and if you were successful in passing the morning sessions you will deliver a short presentation to our Operations Director.

Provisional Offer

If you are selected as a successful candidate you will receive a provisional offer which will be subject to a medical assessment and reference checks.
