Job summary

INEOS Grangemouth invites applications for an Electrical & Instrument Engineering Graduate starting Autumn 2027. Based in Grangemouth HQ, Scotland, the role offers a structured development path within a global petrochemicals group and access to IET Accredited Training.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers in a 37.5 hour week, with day-one responsibilities and opportunities to progress toward Chartered status as part of a supportive, empowering team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2:1 BEng in an Engineering Council recognised degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related.
  • Placement or industry experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure with confidence.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A valid UK driving licence or working towards achieving this.

  • Work within a team of engineers to support asset operation from Day 1.
  • Contribute to SHE, production, reliability and energy use improvements.
  • Develop technical ability and business awareness toward chartership.

About Our Opportunity

Based in Grangemouth our graduates work in a variety of different roles designed to give a diverse set of early experiences. Each role supports different aspects of asset operation (including SHE, production, reliability and energy use/variable cost improvements) to deliver the short through long term asset strategy. You will be embedded within a team of experienced engineers and given responsibilities from Day 1 designed to facilitate development and growth of technical ability, personal impact and business awareness through to IET Accredited Chartership. You will immediately develop key skills and experiences required for a successful career in your discipline.

About You
  • A minimum of 2:1 Bachelor’s (with Honours) in an Engineering Council recognised degree in either Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related course.
  • Ambition and personal motivation
  • The ability to work under pressure, with confidence
  • A drive for action, initiative and delivery, a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A valid UK driving licence or currently working towards achieving this
  • Placement or Industry experience is advantageous
