Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced administrator to coordinate elective admissions and ensure all pre-operative assessments and appointments are completed. You will support clinicians with capacity planning, monitor patient pathways, and escalate issues as needed.

You will attend meetings, liaise with departments to manage patient pathways, and communicate complex admission information to patients to ensure understanding.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating elective admissions and ensuring pre-operative assessments and appointments are completed.
• Arranging specialist equipment or beds and ensuring clinicians review case mix.
• Monitoring patient pathways and updating MKUH systems such as the PTL.
• Escalating capacity issues as needed and attending relevant meetings.
• Communicating complex admission information to patients and discussing theatre list planning with clinicians.
