Job summary

Powys County Council seeks an organised professional to support the Elections and Electoral Registration service, ensuring the administration of UK Parliament, Welsh Parliament, PCC, county and community elections and referenda, and maintaining an accurate register of electors.

You will lead day-to-day operations, plan and deliver the canvass, supervise staff, and provide advice to candidates and elected representatives, with a commitment to neutrality, confidentiality and sound judgement.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to plan, organise and coordinate electoral activities.
• Commitment to political neutrality and confidentiality of information.
• Experience in regulated public-service environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the day-to-day operations of the electoral service and drive continuous improvement of the service.
• Assist with canvass planning and electoral registration processes to ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
