Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a Senior Electoral Services Officer to join the Legal and Democratic Services Section. The role focuses on overseeing the electoral registration process, preparing the electoral register, and coordinating all elections in line with current legislation.

Applicants should have experience in Electoral Registration, with knowledge of legislation, and be willing to study to obtain the AEA Certificate.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electoral Registration and knowledge of current legislation.
• Willingness to study to obtain the AEA Certificate if not already held.
• Ability to manage and coordinate complex electoral processes with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the electoral registration process and prepare the Register.
• Coordinate and implement public engagement strategies and registration plans.
• Oversee management of elections and ensure compliance with current legislation.
• Demonstrate in-depth experience with Individual Electoral Registration and political sensitivity.
