Job summary

Harborough District Council is looking for an Elections & Land Charges Officer to support electoral registrations, elections and land charges duties in a hybrid role based in Market Harborough. The position is 25 hours per week and permanent, with a pro rata salary payable between £29,070 and £31,015 per year.

The role requires strong customer service, ability to manage multiple complex systems and data, and the flexibility to prioritise and work both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

• GCSE English Language and Maths (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent.
• Confident with MS applications and standard office software.
• Able to handle sensitive data and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for electoral registration, elections, referenda and polls.
• Assist with local land charges searches for housing market processes.
• Engage with officers, Councillors and external stakeholders; prioritise and organise workload.
