Job summary

Simpson Millar Solicitors in Leeds (UK) seeks a Team Leader for the EL/PL Multi-Track team to guide complex claims and manage a small caseload of high-value litigated matters. The role is based in one of Manchester, Liverpool, or Leeds offices with a flexible hybrid policy requiring two days in the office per month.

You will provide technical leadership, oversee workflow, and contribute to business development and financial planning. A senior solicitor or CILEX with EL/PL focus is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Solicitor admitted in England & Wales or a Chartered Legal Executive.
• Must have Grade A solicitor status specialising in multi-track EL/PL personal injury claims.
• Experience in leading or mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Managing a reduced caseload of multi-track Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims.
• Providing operational and technical guidance to the team.
• Day to day management of direct reports including allocation of cases, 121s and file reviews.
• Supporting business development, budgeting and forecasting.
