Job summary

Simpson Millar is seeking a Team Leader to join our Multi Track EL/PL team. The role combines leadership of a high-performing group with hands-on casework, including a 25% personal caseload.

Under the Head of Department you will drive performance through 1-2-1s, case reviews, and ensuring processes and KPIs are met. You will also develop colleagues, manage resources and contribute to business development and referrals.

Qualifications

• Must be a grade A Solicitor qualified in England and Wales with a current practising certificate.
• Demonstrated experience managing an EL/PL caseload.
• Demonstrated leadership/management skills.
• Experience conducting own advocacy.
• Strong business development skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership of the EL/PL team and offer technical support on claims.
• Track and report team performance against KPIs and targets.
• Ensure regulatory and professional compliance via file reviews and clinics.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Manage a small personal caseload (~25% of time).
• Develop local business and secure referrals; contribute to department marketing.
