Job description

e-invoicing Technical Lead

Oracle Cloud Financials / Accounting

Central London (Moorgate tube)

£681.03pd Inside IR35

You will lead a flagship eInvoicing transformation for a global financial institution, shaping how invoices flow across multiple countries, systems and stakeholders. This is a senior, London-based contract role where you sit at the heart of Finance and Technology, driving both design and delivery on a high-visibility programme.

You'll own the rollout of a new electronic invoicing solution across EMEA, starting with France, with further regions to follow. If you enjoy leading cross-functional teams, working with complex ERP landscapes (Oracle Cloud Financials or similar) and navigating regulatory requirements, this is a must-apply opportunity.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end design and rollout of a new eInvoicing solution across EMEA, with initial focus on France (target go-live September 2026).
  • Act as the bridge between Finance and Technology, translating complex AP, AR, Tax and Core Finance requirements into clear technical solutions.
  • Manage and mentor a mixed onshore/offshore delivery team (around five people), ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
  • Oversee integration of the eInvoicing solution with the core ERP platform (primarily Oracle Cloud Financials), including interfaces, data feeds and controls.
  • Own the relationship and technical engagement with the external PDP (Partner Dematerialisation Platform) provider handling B2B and government eInvoicing exchanges.
  • Ensure invoice flows meet country-specific eInvoicing and tax regulations, especially in France, including mandatory data fields and government reporting formats.
  • Lead workshops, requirement-gathering and design sessions with Finance, Tax, IT and regional stakeholders, driving alignment across multiple locations.
  • Support finance reporting and analytics using tools such as OTBI and BIP, ensuring eInvoicing data is properly surfaced for control and reporting.
Key skills & requirements
  • Proven Finance Technology / Finance Systems leadership experience, ideally in banking or wider financial services.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoice flows end-to-end, including how invoices move through ERP, partner platforms and into reporting.
  • Hands-on exposure to eInvoicing solutions integrated with ERP, ideally Oracle Cloud Financials; equivalent experience with SAP or Workday also valued where you bring strong integration and architecture knowledge.
  • Solid grasp of data integration and interfaces - e.g. ETL, XML/EDI formats, data mapping, workflow approvals and related integration patterns.
  • Comfortable leading technical discussions without being a hands-on developer - you set direction, challenge solutions and ensure designs meet regulatory and business needs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior Finance, Tax and Technology stakeholders across geographies.
  • Advantageous: experience with country-specific eInvoicing/tax regulations (particularly France/Europe), Oracle Cloud Financials, OTBI/BIP reporting, and large, regulated financial-services environments.
Why apply?

Steer a high-impact, multi-year eInvoicing programme with clear senior visibility.

Shape country-specific solutions that will be rolled out across further territories in future phases.

Work at the centre of Finance, Technology and Regulatory change, in a role that's strategic, influential and technically rich.

If this sounds like the kind of challenge you thrive on, please submit your CV for immediate consideration. Your application will be reviewed in confidence and suitable candidates will be contacted to discuss the role, day rate/salary banding, and hybrid working expectations in more detail.
