Job summary

Lanesra Technical Recruitment is seeking an Electrical & ICA Engineer (EICA) for Exeter or Bristol, hybrid working. Salary guide £55,000 plus excellent package, reporting to the EICA Discipline Lead on turnkey and engineering services contracts.

The role focuses on coordinating design, producing documents, and ensuring health and safety and environmental standards are met. You will develop designs with cross-disciplinary coordination and staff development in mind.

Qualifications

• Understand the principles of water and sewage treatment.
• Design experience of water and sewage treatment plants.
• Membership of a professional institution.
• Preferable: Engineering degree in Electrical or ICA.
• Minimum: Engineering HND with extensive suitable experience.
• Ability to rationalise designs and produce economical plant layouts.
• A flexible mind, with the ability to assimilate large amounts of different data at one time.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Produce design layouts which are cost effective and meet the specification, constructible and commissionable.
• Ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible.
• Provide estimates and feedback for Proposals department.
• Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
• Assist in developing and monitoring procedures and processes.
• Ensure coordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external so design is coordinated for the contract.
• Work in a culture where satisfying the customer is key to other objectives.
• Maintain a personal development plan.
• Assist in supervising and developing staff.
• Assist in ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
• Reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities.
• Ensure designs take account of environmental issues.
• Ensure design takes full regard of all health and safety requirements.

Position: Electrical & ICA Engineer (EICA)

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for South West Water and Bristol Water and they are recruiting for an EICA Engineer to help deliver these projects.

Reporting to the EICA Discipline Lead in this role you will provide superior quality engineering design services to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. You will co-ordinate the design and produce design documents and drawings taking due account of health and safety requirements, specifications and standards pertaining to the contract.
