Job summary

Shirley Parsons Ltd is recruiting an EHS Manager for a permanent role in Hertfordshire. The position leads the Environmental, Health & Safety function in a highly regulated manufacturing setting, driving compliance, culture and continuous improvement. A NEBOSH certification pathway is preferred.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement across all levels, from shopfloor to regulatory bodies, with responsibility for ISO 14001 systems and incident investigation. Salary is competitive.

Qualifications

• Proven EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK EHS legislation, risk assessment processes and auditing.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and regulatory inspections is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the EHS strategy in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage EHS systems, audits, risk assessment, incidents and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the subject matter expert on EH&S matters and liaise with regulators and senior leadership.
• Develop and mentor the EHS Officer to sustain a proactive safety culture.
