Job summary

South West Apprenticeship Company Ltd. is offering an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) technician apprenticeship. You will work with an experienced EHS team, gain practical exposure across safety, environmental data, and sustainability projects, and contribute to live business initiatives.

Training provider SR Apprenticeships Limited will support your journey over two years, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule and on-site work culminating in IOSH pathways.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English and a Science at grades 5–9 (A*-C) are essential.
• Desirable A Levels include at least one STEM subject; BTEC STEM is a plus.
• Interest in health and safety, sustainability, the environment or responsible business.

Responsibilities

• Assist with workplace health and safety risk assessments.
• Support inspections and safety tours at the site.
• Help investigate incidents and near misses.
• Assist with developing safe working procedures.
• Support safety campaigns, toolbox talks and communications.
• Maintain health and safety training and compliance records.
• Get involved in environmental data collection and waste management.
• Use Excel and Power BI to help produce environmental reports.
